Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Hosts Union of Turkish World Art Universities Meeting and Strengthens International Collaboration

Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (COMU) recently hosted the Union of Turkish World Art Universities meeting, taking a significant step in strengthening academic and cultural ties within the Turkish-speaking world. The event brought together leaders and representatives from art and culture universities across the region, serving as an important platform to emphasize the significance of collaboration and cultural exchange in the fields of arts and education.

Following this meeting, COMU signed bilateral cooperation agreements with leading institutions from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. The signed agreements include partnerships with the Uzbekistan State University of Arts and Culture, Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Arts, Kazakhstan T. Jürgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, and the Yunus Rajabi Uzbek National Institute of Music Arts from Uzbekistan.

These agreements will open up new opportunities for student and faculty exchange programs, joint projects, and cultural events. COMU's rector, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Cüneyt Erenoğlu, emphasized that such international collaborations will solidify the university's position in the global academic community and contribute to enhancing the cultural and artistic ties between Turkey and these Central Asian countries.

The partnerships are expected to offer students valuable international experiences, making them more competitive in the global job market. Furthermore, these academic and cultural collaborations will create new opportunities for both sides, strengthening the internationalization of higher education. This strategic collaboration is an important part of COMU’s vision for global education and cultural exchange.
