ÇOMÜ Hosts Delegation from Urgench State University

Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) recently hosted a delegation of academics and students from Urgench State University in Uzbekistan. During the visit, faculty members and students from the Departments of English Language and Literature and Fine Arts had the opportunity to explore ÇOMÜ's academic units in person.

The delegation was officially welcomed by ÇOMÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Cüneyt Erenoğlu. In the meeting, the two universities discussed enhancing academic cooperation, developing joint projects, and expanding student exchange programs. The visit was highlighted as an important step toward strengthening institutional collaboration.

As part of the program, the delegation visited the Office of International Relations, the Department of English Language Teaching, and the Faculty of Fine Arts. At the Faculty of Fine Arts, the visitors were accompanied by faculty members, including Faculty Erasmus Coordinator Lecturer Şeyma Bil, who provided detailed information about the faculty's facilities and academic structure. For the English Language and Literature delegation, English Language Teaching Department Erasmus Coordinator Dr. Lecturer Mustafa Tekin guided the guests and introduced them to the department’s academic offerings and collaboration opportunities.

Following the campus visits, Dr. Emrah Yağmurlu (Coordinator of the Office of International Relations) and Dr. Hasan Hakan Başaran (Head of the International Cooperation Unit) provided the delegation with an overview of ÇOMÜ's international partnerships and discussed potential future collaborations.

This visit is part of ÇOMÜ’s broader vision to deepen its relationship with Urgench State University and to strengthen academic and cultural cooperation between the two institutions.
